ACF DISTRIBUTES FREE DRUGS AT BURIAL OF KOGI DIRECTOR’S FATHER

“At burials, the dead don’t just die; they teach the living how to live.”
The above statement was glaringly apt at the burial ceremony of ACF Kogi Director’s father, Elder J.U Simon. The burial, which took place in Ugbugbu Amaka, Igalamela Odolu Local Government of Kogi State on the 4th of February, 2015 became not a platform for mourning but for the distribution of free vitamin A’s and Albendazole for children and free multi vitamins for pregnant women and lactating mothers. “This is how it should be”, said Paul Ugbede, ACF Kogi Director, who over saw the distribution, “When a man dies, he should be able to give an opportunity for living, to children.”

The distribution of free drugs during a burial program was the first of its kind in Amaka community and it was widely accepted by all. For a moment, everyone took leave from mourning to receive the free gifts from ACF. Pregnant women and nursing mothers were elated and could not hide their joy because this will be the first time they will receive drugs in any form during or after pregnancy. Ugbugbu Amaka is a little village, caught off from civilization by lack of access road and social amenities. The community has no light and no portable water of any kind.

Empowering All Generations: Join Our Basic Computer Skills Initiative!

In today's digital world, basic computer skills are a necessity, and at Abraham's Children Foundation (ACF), we are passionate about ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to succeed. We are thrilled to announce that our Basic Computer Skills Handout and training program under the Knowledge & Opportunity for Digital Impact (KODI) Initiative is now in session!

This comprehensive program is designed to transform beginners of all ages into confident computer users. While we place a special focus on empowering girls, our training is inclusive and open to children, youths, and adults who are eager to build a strong foundation in digital literacy. Our hands-on curriculum covers everything from the fundamentals of hardware and software to safe internet browsing and essential productivity tools. We are committed to making digital literacy accessible to all.

Accessible Learning for All

To ensure that all learners have this vital opportunity, we are offering this entire program at a heavily subsidized rate. This means more people can access high-quality training without financial barriers.

We Need Your Help to Reach Further!

Our mission is to take this service to as many individuals as possible, with the goal of reaching every part of the country. We can't do it alone. We are warmly welcoming sponsors to partner with us. Your support can directly help us provide:

  • Computer equipment and classroom resources
  • Training materials and curriculum development
  • Scholarships for learners from low-income families

By becoming a sponsor, you are not just funding a program—you are investing in a person's future and helping to bridge the digital divide for an entire generation.
